A SMART Board
is a large video screen that allows users to use a special pen to draw directly on any image projected by the computer hooked up to the board.
Possible Uses
- Mark up a digital picture to show compositional elements
- Draw on a map to describe historical event
- Correct a sentence in composition class
- Show a PowerPoint video
- Work on a math problem
- Have the class practice writing Japanese characters
- Watch a video (on the computer) and makes notes
Using a SMART Board
- Turn on the SMART Board
- Turn on the computer, which will be located beside or under the SMART Board
- Pick up a color pen - if you change pens, make sure to put the other pen back in its proper cradle
