Welcome to the Bio-Resources & Technology Academic Subject Certificate (ASC), Plant Biotechnology.

The ASC in Bio-Resources and Technology (Plant Biotechnology) prepares students for careers in agribiotechnology and other biosciences. It qualifies students to transfer to bachelor of science degree programs and opens the door to exciting careers!

Program Goals
The goals of the ASC Plant Biotechnology program are to:

provide education and training for students to succeed in Hawaii's agribiotechnology workforce
assist students transferring to four-year institutions majoring in biosciences
stimulate bioprocessing agribusiness entrepreneurship

Milestones
Bioprocessing Medicinal Garden Complex Opens for Business!. On June 18, 2007 Dr. White of WCC, students, faculty and community members dedicated the Bioprocessing Medicinal Garden Complex. It's the first of its kind.

Meet Our Coordinator
Dr. Ingelia P. White is the program coordinator for the plant biotechnology program and professor of botany / microbiology. She's a true mentor!
