Survey
of Graduates and Leavers |
|
|
| |
The "Survey
of Graduates and Leavers”, is included in the “University
of Hawaii Measuring our Progress Report” (formerly
the Institutional Effectiveness Report). |
|
| |
The
purpose of the report is to gather information from graduates
and leavers regarding the overall quality of their academic
experience, the quality of the student’s overall
experience, the quality of the academic programs offered, and
the satisfaction level of the academic preparation they received.
The students are also surveyed to ascertain if they are employed,
attending school or involved in other activities. If they
are employed they are asked if their primary job is directly
related to their major field of study and how well did their
education prepare them for their current primary job. |
|
| |
The
survey has the following parameters: |
| |
- The
students surveyed were enrolled with 30 or more credits and
were from the Fall, Spring or Summer semesters.
- The
students surveyed were degree-seeking students (this survey
excludes unclassified
and special enrollments).
- The
students surveyed were in good standing.
- The
students surveyed included graduates (including all certificates)
in the respective academic year.
|
|
|
| |
The
survey gathered information from the following four groups of students: |
| |
- Career
Tech Education (CTE) Graduates.
- Career
Tech Education (CTE) Leavers.
- Liberal
Arts Graduates.
- Liberal
Arts Leavers.
|
| |
The
survey was administered variously to graduating students at
graduation rehearsals, at graduate exit interviews
and by a series of mailings to the Liberal
Arts graduates, Liberal Arts leavers, CTE graduates and CTE leavers. |
