Eight study sites were selected along the He'eia Stream in Kane'ohe from which at least 32 water samples were collected during the period of December 2002-March 2005. These samples were analyzed for chemical nutrients: nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, total nitrogen, total phosphorous, and total lead in the Water Quality Laboratory at Windward Community College.
